Faye Real

Advocacy Communications & Data Insights Intern

Faye is an incoming J.D. candidate at UC Davis King Hall, School of Law utilizing her gap year to explore alternate perspectives on her legal and political interests. Having previously graduated from UC Davis with B.A. degrees in Psychology, Political Science, and a minor in Spanish, she intends to return to her alma mater with a focus in Public Interest and Family Law. In her six years of experience across educational equity programs, law firms, and nonprofits, Faye continuously strives to partake in initiatives that emphasize the intersection between developmental psychology and legal systems to inform more effective, compassionate, and humane policies.

During her undergraduate years, she built her professional foundation around issues that disproportionately affect Filipino communities, and other historically marginalized groups in need of greater support and access to sustained resources. She has spearheaded conferences and workshops as the Student Academic Achievement Coordinator for BRIDGE: Pilipinx Outreach & Retention and interned at the Solano County District Attorney’s office, supporting cases on discrimination, harassment, and child custody claims. Her terms as President of Pilipinx in Business & Law and Chairperson of the Ethnic & Cultural Affairs Commission of Associated Students, University of California, Davis (ASUCD) have strengthened her commitment to student-initiated programs, advocacy, and community action.
