(About 525 words) Change Teams are short-term, self-managed small groups of diverse volunteers who are dedicated to the Change Initiative and to each other. Change Team Support (About 735 words) Change Teams rely on two essential support roles played by people who are not members of the team: the Champion and the Team Coach. People Volunteer To Transform the Organization (About 775 words) All participants must volunteer to join a transformation process. Systems Thinking (About 990 words) Systems Thinking is an essential tool for Change Teams because it surfaces deep-level causes of problems and shows high-leverage points for action.. Focusing on Processes (About 360 words) Change Teams reinvent work processes to help the organization move toward its vision. Transforming a Process (About 740 words) A Change Teams focuses on the mechanics of one process -- or even part of a process -- to remove barriers to achieving the company's vision. Make Small, High-leverage Changes (About 805 words) Small, high-leverage changes move the organization towards transformation at a quicker pace with greater leaps from the old process to the new. Is This Initiative Legitimate Or Not? (About 380 words) Change Teams must work on Change Initiatives that are within the bounds set by the organization. Teams Choose the Champion (About 400 words) The Change Team, the team has the final say over this choice of Champion. Releasing the Change Initiative to the Change Team (About 450 words) Once all the preparation is done by the Change Agent, it's time to let the Change Initiative and the Change Team go. Your Team's License to Make Changes (About 800 words) Change Teams create licenses that give them the authority needed to work on their Change Initiatives while showing how the initiative will stay in bounds. Be Sure You've Made the Team Before You Try to Make Change (About 500 words) Change Teams should be sure that the team is developed and focused before they work on their initiatives. Change Teams Require Commitment (About 460 words) Commitments of people on Change Teams differ greatly. Members must take care to learn the nature of each other's commitments and the limitations of those commitments. Breakdowns and Breakthroughs (About 540 words) Breakdowns in the team and processes are painful, but beneficial. Monitoring Change Team Progress (About 590 words) Self-managed Change Teams must manage their own progress and performance. On-Track Indicators and Off-Track Indicators are useful tools. Mutual Performance Evaluations (About 500 words) Mutual performance evaluations give everyone a chance to see where they are, as well as an opportunity to share essential performance information with everyone involved with the team.
