Using the focus offered by the Prescriptive Transformation Values, specially trained coaches work with the people within the process. The coaches function as highly skilled observers who have learned to live and behave in new ways. They understand the Prescriptive Transformation Values so well that they can see when members of teams start to behave in the old way.
The coaches’ tasks:
By offering a unique perspective, one that includes the new focus, they push
people to require new ways of behaving with each other, use new ways of
communicating and use new ways to make decisions. Peer coaches are not
supervisors and not at all concerned with the task at hand, only with the way
the Prescriptive Values live in present behaviors as people do the work of
change
The coaches create social pressure to learn new ways of working and thinking within the organization. They encourage the new ways of working that the new structures require and help establish the new structures that are the foundation of the new organization as described by the Boundaries of Change.
